Christmas 3-Night Break
Christmas Eve
Arrive at your convenience from 2pm and enjoy a traditional cream tea in our cosy lounge and bar area, with views of our beautiful gardens. Dinner will be served between 7pm and 9:30pm, offering a delightful culinary journey to kick-start your Christmas break. For a traditional Christmas celebration, join Midnight Mass at the iconic Bury St Edmunds Cathedral. Upon your return, enjoy a warm glass of mulled wine and a mince pie before retiring for the evening.
Christmas Day
Begin Christmas Day with a hearty breakfast served from 8am to 9:30am, setting you up for a day of relaxation in our stunning grounds. The highlight of the day, Christmas lunch, will be served at 1pm. In the afternoon, enjoy a slice of Christmas cake and a cup of tea in our inviting lounge from 3pm onwards, where we will also be showing the King's Speech. In the evening, a dressed buffet will be set up in the Garden Room from 7pm, offering a feast for those with a hearty appetite.
Boxing Day
Breakfast will be served from 8am to 9:30am, preparing you for a day of leisure and enjoyment at your own pace. Explore our surroundings and engage in activities of your choice. Lunch will be served between 12pm and 2pm, featuring a selection of delicious dishes. After lunch, unwind before an evening of culinary delights with a delectable three-course meal.
27th December
As your memorable festive break comes to an end, enjoy a final delicious breakfast served from 8am to 10am. Bid farewell to The Riverside House with our warm wishes for a wonderful remainder of the festive period and a happy 2025.
New Year Breaks
New Year's Eve
Arrive at your convenience from 2pm and enjoy a delightful Afternoon Tea. Spend the afternoon at your leisure, choosing from a variety of activities before the evening's main event—the Gala Dinner. Enjoy captivating entertainment and, as midnight approaches, toast to the New Year with a glass of Champagne.
New Year's Day
Start the New Year with a refreshing Bucks Fizz brunch served until 11am. Between 12pm and 2pm, a buffet lunch will be available with a variety of delicious options. In the evening, guests can enjoy dinner at their own pace, ensuring a relaxed and leisurely dining experience.
Tuesday, 2nd January
Conclude your festive break with a final delicious breakfast served from 8am to 10am. Bid farewell to The Riverside House with our warm wishes for a happy and prosperous New Year.
